Tottenham Hotspur coach Andre Villas-Boas has hinted that Emmanuel Adebayor will play some part in tomorrow's Europa League meeting with Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol.
The 29-year-old striker, who was expected to leave White Hart Lane this summer, has not played for Spurs since the 1-0 win over Sunderland on the final day of last season.
Jermain Defoe has also found starts difficult to come by due to the arrival of Roberto Soldado, but Villas-Boas said that both he and Adebayor are still part of his reckoning.
"[Adebayor] has travelled," the Portuguese coach told reporters. "There is a chance he could be involved, but I'm not sure if he's starting or not.
"There is always that chance [Adebayor and Defoe] can break into the team, although both are established players and have been successful in the past."
Adebayor was recently given time off due to the death of his brother.
