Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale has expressed his delight at scoring a brace in tonight's 2-1 Europa League round-of-32 win against Lyon.
The Welsh star was particularly pleased with his second strike, a dipping free kick from 35 yards out, in the first-leg encounter.
"I'm delighted. I've been practising free kicks on the training ground and I scored one like that last week. Both came at good times in the game," he told ITV.
"Lyon are a good team and we weren't 100% to be honest - we looked a bit tired. But the most important thing is we got the win. It's going to be hard going over there, but we're taking this competition seriously."
However, the French side take a vital away goal into the next leg after Samuel Umtiti found the net for them.
