Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Clint Dempsey has revealed that he is hoping his Europa League experience with Fulham can aid his attempts with Tottenham Hotspur in the same competition this season.
Dempsey played an integral part in Fulham's journey to the final in 2010 before they lost out to Atletico Madrid, and he believes that with the quality of Tottenham's squad, he can reach the final for a second time.
Dempsey said: "It was tough for us at Fulham to get all that way and not win the final, but it was a great experience and I'm sure everyone on that team will remember it.
"We had luck then and we need that now, but we do have a lot of quality in this team. As long as everyone is working hard and focused, you always have a chance.
"And with the quality we have, I can't see why we can't go all the way and win it."
Tottenham face Panathinaikos this evening as they look to build upon their goalless draw with Lazio in their opening match.
