Harry Redknapp has admitted that Tottenham's chances of progressing to the next round of the Europa League are "slim".
Spurs, who lost 2-1 to PAOK Salonika at White Hart Lane last night, fell two goals behind before Luka Modric could pull one back from the spot.
Redknapp's side must now overcome the five-goal deficit that separates them from Rubin Kazan against Shamrock Rovers, and hope that the Russian outfit lose to PAOK.
"I am disappointed now because we are not going to be in the last 32," he said. "It's very slim – it is very difficult now. I wanted to stay in the competition but it wasn't to be.
"We started sloppy and didn't defend well. It was a new back four and for the first ten minutes we started like we did not know each other. Full credit to the opposition, they worked hard and looked dangerous."
Tottenham are next scheduled to host Bolton in Premier League action this weekend.
