Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen believes that Gareth Bale is in the "form of his life" following his brace against Lyon.
The 23-year-old has scored six goals in his last four games for Andre Villas-Boas's side and has given them a crucial lead in their Europa League tie.
Vertonghen told UEFA.com: "Bale is probably in the best form of his life. He's scored our last six goals as a winger that's unbelievable. I'm glad I'm playing with him and not against him.
"We will be fresh for the second leg because we don't have a game this weekend and we want to do something in Europe so I hope we go through."
The second leg of their Europa League knockout tie with Lyon takes place next week on February 21.
