Tottenham Hotspur continued their fine showing in this year's Europa League with a 4-1 hammering of second-placed Anzhi Makhachkala in Group K.
Two goals from Roberto Soldado had put the hosts ahead after 16 minutes in North London, with the first coming after just seven.
The Spanish striker flicked the ball beyond Evgeny Pomazan from Gylfi Sigurdsson's near-post cross, ending his drought in front of goal.
A composed finish saw him double his tally on the quarter-hour mark, but Spurs were caught napping while defending a corner a minute before the break, allowing Ewerton to stab home.
Within 10 minutes of the restart Spurs regained their two-goal lead and in some style. Lewis Holtby took an Andros Townsend ball over the top on his chest before volleying in off the far post.
With 20 minutes to go Soldado completed his hat-trick from the spot. Ryan Fredericks was brought down and the Spaniard stepped up to net his third on the night and ensure it was six from six for Spurs.
