Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Olympiacos

:Headline: Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Olympiacos: ID:371531: from db_amp
Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Olympiacos.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to get their 2019-20 Champions League campaign off to a positive start on Wednesday night when they travel to Greece to face Olympiacos.

Mauricio Pochettino's side famously reached the final of last season's competition before losing to Liverpool, and the capital outfit will be hoping to enjoy another strong European tournament.

Spurs have made a mixed start to the new Premier League season, but Saturday's 4-0 win over Crystal Palace moved them into third spot in the table with eight points from five matches.

The London club will now switch their attention to the Champions League, though, and will be looking for a strong start ahead of their second group game at home to Bayern Munich on October 1.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for the English side.

Kyle Walker-Peters

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 18 (vs Olympiacos)

Kyle Walker-Peters has missed Tottenham's last two matches with the hamstring problem that he picked up against Newcastle United on August 25. The 22-year-old was not included in the squad against Palace at the weekend, making him a doubt for the European fixture in Greece.

Juan Foyth

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Juan Foyth, who had been pencilled in to play some football at full-back this term, has been on the sidelines since picking up an ankle injury during pre-season. It remains to be seen when the Argentine is available to return to the field.

Eric Dier

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: September 18 (vs. Olympiacos)

Eric Dier is yet to play a minute of football this season - the England international was left on the bench for Tottenham's first three games before missing out against Arsenal with a hip problem. The midfielder was back on the bench against Palace but was once again an unused substitute.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: Unknown

Giovani Lo Celso will not return to first-team training with Tottenham until the end of October after picking up a hip injury while representing Argentina during the recent international break. As a result, it seems unlikely that the summer arrival from Real Betis will be available to return until the middle of November.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 18 (vs. Olympiacos)

Ryan Sessegnon is yet to turn out for his new club due to a hamstring problem. The Englishman is making solid progress in his rehabilitation, although it seems unlikely that his first appearance for Pochettino's side will come in a big away match in the Champions League.

Davinson Sanchez

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 18 (vs. Olympiacos)

Davinson Sanchez, whose performance at right-back against Arsenal before the international break was widely criticised, missed the Palace game due to an ankle problem that he suffered while representing Colombia. The former Ajax youngster could return for the trip to Greece, though.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for the European affair.
