Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Sports Mole

Tottenham Hotspur will be bidding to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they head to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday.

Spurs had Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie sent off in a 4-1 home loss to Chelsea on Monday, with the Blues scoring twice in second-half stoppage time to add gloss to the scoreline.

Ange Postecoglou's side have still enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign, though, sitting second in the Premier League table on 26 points, one point behind the leaders Manchester City.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Wolves, who are 14th in the division on 12 points from 11 matches.

Micky van de Ven

Status: Out
Type of issue: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Van de Ven suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of the clash with Chelsea last time out, and the summer arrival is now set for a long period on the sidelines.

James Maddison

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: November 11 (vs. Wolves)

Maddison was forced off against Chelsea on Monday due to an ankle problem, but there is a chance that he could be back in the squad against Wolves.

Ben Davies

Status: Minor doubt
Type of issue: Ankle
Possible return date: November 11 (vs. Wolves)

Davies was not involved against Chelsea due to a knock to his ankle, but there is a strong chance that he will be available for selection this weekend.

Ivan Perisic

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Perisic underwent an operation on an ACL injury in September, and the Croatian faces a major battle to return before the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Manor Solomon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Solomon has also recently been forced to undergo a knee operation, but there is a hope that the attacker will be available for selection in the early stages of 2024.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Sessegnon is still recovering from a hamstring operation, with Postecoglou admitting towards the end of last month that the defender was still a way off being able to return.

Alfie Whiteman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Whiteman underwent ankle surgery in August, and it is currently unclear when the goalkeeper might be available for selection once again.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Cristian Romero

Status: Out
Possible return date: December 7 (vs. West Ham United)

Romero's straight red card in the game with Chelsea means that he will now be missing for the next three Premier League games against Wolves, Aston Villa and Manchester City.

Destiny Udogie

Status: Out
Possible return date: November 26 (vs. Aston Villa)

Udogie is only banned for one match, having picked up two yellow cards against Chelsea, meaning that he will be available for the team's first game after the international break.
