Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Erik Lamela is now ready to feature in the first-team squad after over a year on the sidelines.
Lamela has not played for Spurs since October 2016 due to a hip injury but earlier this month, the winger played an hour for Spurs Under-23s in a second-string game with Chelsea.
Pochettino has previously suggested that he was not in a rush to get Lamela into the first-team picture, but the Argentine has said that his compatriot could have a part to play in Tuesday's Premier League clash at Leicester City.
The 45-year-old told reporters: "Good news that Lamela has stepped up and is in contention for tomorrow.
"Always in a very busy schedule you need everyone fit to help the team and that is very good news for the team."
Lamela has scored 19 goals in 119 appearances for Spurs in all competitions since moving to North London in 2013.
