Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino urges his side to approach their upcoming matches with a greater intensity following their recent poor run of results.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that his players need to play with a greater intensity following their recent slump in form.

Spurs lost their second home match in a row as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, which extended their winless run in all competitions to four games.

"We need to be more prepared and more ready because the Premier League is strong and the Europa League is strong," Pochettino told reporters.

"We need to change the mentality and make sure we are ready every time.

"You go to the stadium and you have to be able to compete and be strong because every game is different."

Pochettino's side face Nottingham Forest in the third round of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday.
