Tottenham Hotspur have fallen to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Roma in their International Champions Cup fixture.
Diego Perotti and Cengiz Under put the Serie A giants into a commanding lead, but late efforts from Harry Winks and Vincent Janssen got Spurs back on level terms.
However, in the most dramatic of circumstances, 18-year-old Marco Tumminello netted from close range in the second minute of added-on time to seal victory for his side.

Hello, and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match in the International Champions Cup between Tottenham Hotspur and Roma.
Earlier on Tuesday, we are covering a game in Singapore as Bayern Munich registered a 3-2 win over Chelsea but now, the action is taking place in the United States as Spurs meet Roma. The matches continue to come thick and fast in the popular pre-season competition and while the priority is to build fitness ahead of the new campaign, both clubs will want to add a notable scalp before they return to competitive action.
Before we crack on with the team news, I shall point out that the match begins at 1.05am, BST, rather than 1am. I'm not sure why they do it but organisers in the USA insist on coming out on the hour, rather than kickoff being at that time. It's a minor thing, but I don't mind being picky at this time of night.
Anyway, without further ado, here comes the team news. Mauricio Pochettino has made some interesting choices...
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Vorm, Trippier, Carter-Vickers, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Walker-Peters, Dier, Dembele, Onomah, Alli, Kane
I told you it was interesting. Spurs have received some criticism for their lack of action in the transfer market, but Pochettino has decided to showcase some of the youngsters which he hopes will take their opportunities throughout this season. Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kyle Walker-Peters and Joshua Onomah all start after helping England Under-20s to the World Cup at the start of June. Michel Vorm also gets a run out in goal.
When we take a look at the Spurs bench, there are four, arguably five, players who will hope to be in the starting lineup come the first weekend of the season, with the rest all having points to prove to their head coach. I'm sure some supporters would like to see the money generated from the sale of Kyle Walker to be reinvested into the squad, but it is probably worth seeing whether any of the youngsters can make the step up over the next week or so.
ROMA XI: Alisson, Peres, Fazio, Jesus, Kolarov, Gerson, De Rossi, Nainggolan, Defrel, Dzeko, Perotti
There are plenty of names who stand out in that Roma starting lineup. Radja Nainggolan is probably regarded as the club's best player, but Daniele De Rossi will have an opinion on that status. There's the free-scoring Edin Dzeko, as well as fellow former Manchester City player Aleksandar Kolarov, who has only just left Pep Guardiola's side. Gregoire Defrel - who signed from Sassuolo last week - also gets a start.
We've deliberately chosen to miss out one player from that post, and that is because Federico Fazio is playing against his former club. The Argentine signed for Spurs in August 2014 and he arrived at White Hart Lane with a big reputation, but he went on to make just 32 appearances in all competitions over a 17-month period before he returned to Sevilla on loan. He has now regained his previous standing in Europa with a fine campaign with Roma last year, where he made 47 appearances in all competitions.
This is usually the part where we take a look at the head-to-head record between the two sides, but there has never been a competitive match on the European stage. There may or may not have been friendlies in the past (we aren't searching the Internet to find out) but it is at least a fresh fixture for the fans.
Some of the other high-profile matches in the United States have taken place in stadiums with capacitys over 70,000, but the Red Bull Arena holds just 25,189. It's a small ground in comparison but don't think that will dampen the atmosphere. The fans are closer to the pitch and with "soccer" becoming ever popular in New York, don't expect many empty seats.
If we go back to Spurs' fixture with Paris Saint-Germain, we can see that it wasn't plain sailing for the North Londoners. They have received plaudits for the victory, but it shouldn't be forgotten that they conceded two goals inside the first 36 minutes. The sending off of Kevin Trapp then helped matters before they took full advantage in the closing stages. Harry Kane only got on the scoresheet from the penalty spot, so I'm sure that is something he will want to change in this match.
From Roma's perspective, they are coming off a 1-1 draw with the same opponents, although they did ultimately succumb to a 5-3 defeat in a penalty shootout. At this stage of the season, the penalties are irrelevant and boss Eusebio di Francesco will instead be impressed with his team coming back from a goal behind.
PREDICTION! Friendlies are always difficult to call, but we are going to have a go anyway. Given the strength of the two teams, we are predicting a high-scoring win for Roma. Spurs' youth players are talented, but they still need more experience before they are ready to go toe-to-toe with a team like Roma. The Italian side to win 4-2.
It's almost go time in New York. This is the stadium which is hosting tonight's game... (it is fuller than this now...).
The two teams are finally on their way out. We should be underway in just a few minutes.
Roma get us underway.
There hasn't been a lot of action in these early stages. Both teams are passing the ball around nicely, but we are yet to see anyone mount a sustained attack in the final third.
SHOT! Dier just attempted a left-footed drive from 25 yards. It's still rising.
CHANCE! Roma should probably be 1-0 ahead. A cross from the left found Defrel at the back post but after taking a step or two back, he headed wide from no more than eight yards. Poor marking from Spurs.
SHOT! From an offensive standpoint, Walker-Peters has started well down the left and after he finds Alli with an inside pass, his teammate sees a well-struck effort comfortably saved by Alisson.
GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Roma (Perotti)
The referee decides that Carter-Vickers has handled the ball in the penalty area. It's one of those, but you can see why he has given it. Perotti is the man who steps forward and he produces a near-perfect effort to Vorm's left. He didn't move.
Roma are slowly but surely starting to take control of this match. Another shot has just been curled wide of Vorm's post, I think from Defrel. The Italian outfit look dangerous every time they press forward.
There's not that much between the two teams but Roma are playing with a style of play which you would expect to bring success. It's very much centred around dictating the pace of a game, where Spurs are looking to be reactive, rather than proactive. They will need to find something different in Serie A this season with both Milan clubs expected to improve.
Much better from Spurs, who get Trippier involved down the right flank. His cross is looking for the run of Kane but a defender gets across to prevent the forward from flicking the ball into the net from close range.
Spurs certainly miss Christian Eriksen when he isn't playing. They either have to rely on the industry of Dembele or for Alli to produce something out of the ordinary. It's a conumdrum they need to solve because they are looking predictable at times.
We are half-an-hour through this match and all in all, it has been a good match. Roma, inparticular, are playing some positive stuff and look confident on the ball, while Spurs always offer a threat with Alli and Kane.
Spurs are starting to win free kicks in and around the penalty area but while the delivery has generally been good, it isn't finding a white shirt. Spurs are strong in the air, but so are Roma and so far, they are having the better of that battle.
SHOT! It's fair to say that Kane has carried his confidence over to this pre-season. He controls a high ball before instantly driving a shot on goal from all of 30 yards. His effort is heading towards the bottom corner but Alisson makes the save.
Roma win a free kick from a wide position on the left and Kolarov is all over it. He's more known for his power but this cross is full of whip and bend, and it takes some fine defending to prevent a Roma teammate from converting at the back post.
HALF TIME: Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Roma
The half-time whistle goes in New York and Roma lead thanks to that early penalty from Perotti. Based on the flow of the game, it is an advantage which they deserve, but Spurs have also had their moments. It will be interesting to see how long Pochettino waits before introducing the likes of Wanyama and Eriksen.
Fancy some half-time reading? Of course you do. Click here to see what Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has to say about the North Londoners signing no-one during the summer window.
Spurs get us back underway.
Spurs made a total of five changes at the break. Lloris, Davies, Winks, Georgiou and Eriksen have all been introduced by Pochettino.
How on earth has the referee missed this? Kane gets fouled by Fazio inside the penalty area - and it's a clear foul at that - and the referee has waved played on! Kane is fuming, and he has every right to be.
Things are threatening to boil over here. Kane is fired up and he lunges in - and wins the ball - from Manolas. However, the defender makes a meal of the challenge and the referee halts play. The Spurs bench are absolutely raging and I think the referee is trying to send one of them off. Not sure who though! The Premier League side have definitely been hard done by here.
From what I can see, it appears that the referee sent someone off, but they then refused to go down the tunnel so he changed his mind? Things remain heated on the pitch. Kane is in the thick of everything but several Roma players are trying to antagonise him.
SHOT! Spurs nearly net an outstanding team goal. Several passes lead to a chance being created for Alli on the edge of the penalty area, but his shot is deflected marginally wide of the post.
SUBSTITUTIONS! It's changes time for Roma. There are at least half-a-dozen so don't expect many names. Gonalons was among those being introduced.
Spurs have played some cracking stuff in this second half and should have had a penalty. They may be behind but there are plenty of positives to take for Pochettino.
CHANCE! Kane is presented with an opportunity inside the penalty area but his effort goes just wide, with the aid of a deflection.
GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Roma (Cengiz)
This is harsh on Spurs. On a rare attack this second half, Roma double their lead through Cengiz, who is on hand to fire home from eight yards after capitalising on a defender's miscued interception to prevent a cross finding its target at the back post.
It is difficult to see a way back for Spurs. They have been the better side in this second half but at a time when Pochettino will be considering bringing off the likes of Alli and Kane, I can't see them getting two goals during the final quarter-of-an-hour.
If anything, Roma look more likely to score a third than Spurs do netting a second. Roma are now set up to absorb any pressure from the English side and then hit them on the break. They almost did just that a moment ago, but they were caught offside.
SUBSTITUTION! I should have added that both Alli and Kane have been withdrawn from the action. Nkoudou and Janssen are on in their place.
CHANCE! One player who is taking his chance in a Spurs shirt is Georgiou. He has just wriggled his way into the penalty area before seeing a rasping effort tipped over the crossbar.
GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Roma (Winks)
Spurs are back in this. After Janssen strikes the post with what can only be described as a toe-bunter, Winks is on hand to convert the rebound at the second attempt.
There will be three minutes of added-on time.
GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 Roma (Janssen)
GOAL! Tottenham Hotspur 2-3 Roma (Tumminello)
FULL TIME: Tottenham Hotspur 2-3 Roma
What an ending! Firstly, Nkoudou crosses for Janssen to convert at the near post but literally a minute later, if that, Tumminello slid in at the back post to sent the ball into the net from inside the six-yard box!
That will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us this evening and we hope to see you again soon. Goodbye for now.
