Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has suggested that he will not be distracted by speculation regarding the Tottenham Hotspur job.
Postecoglou is currently preparing to try to secure the domestic treble with Celtic facing Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday.
However, throughout this week, there has been frequent talk of the 57-year-old becoming the leading candidate for the vacant role at Spurs.
Chairman Daniel Levy has already been shunned by a number of potential contenders, including Feyenoord's Arne Slot who has opted to sign a new contract.
While other names are very much in the frame, it has been claimed that Spurs are keen to hold discussions with Postecoglou as soon as possible.
Although such talks could occur in the future, Postecoglou told reporters at a press conference on Thursday that he was solely focused on the upcoming encounter at Hampden Park.
As quoted by BBC Sport, Postecoglou said: "Somebody else was favourite last week, weren't they? So no, it doesn't register.
"I get all the interest and why people love to speculate on these things, but we've worked really really hard to get ourselves in this position and for me to let my mind wander about anything else other than getting our team prepared for a big day on Saturday, it's just not who I am."
Postecoglou is not tied to lengthy terms at Celtic Park, instead being on a 12-month rolling contract that seemingly works for both parties.
He has enjoyed a hugely-successful stint in Glasgow, Saturday's showpiece offering the chance to win his fifth piece of silverware since his arrival in 2021.
In total, Postecoglou has recorded 82 wins, 12 draws and 18 defeats from 112 matches in all competitions, the majority of his losses coming in European fixtures.
Brendan Rodgers and Luis Enrique - most recently of Leicester City and Spain respectively - are deemed to be the most likely to take over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if nothing materialises with Postecoglou.
The next head coach is currently in line to have Harry Kane at their disposal with Levy allegedly prepared to retain the services of the 29-year-old unless a foreign club makes a big-money offer. body check tags ::
