Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that his players must learn from their mistakes following Wednesday's defeat to Sunderland in Hong Kong.
Spurs were beaten 3-1 in the semi-finals of the Barclays Asia Trophy in a match hampered by heavy rain.
"It was impossible to play because the conditions were extremely poor," Villas-Boas told Sky Sports News. "We made mistakes. We have to learn from these mistakes and make it better."
Tottenham take on South China in the third-place playoff on Saturday.
