Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has insisted that he has no intention of reacting negatively to his difficulties in securing a place in the team this season.
Davies, a summer signing from Swansea City, has seen Danny Rose trusted to fill the left-back spot ahead of him in the Premier League, but he is confident of impressing Mauricio Pochettino when he is given chances.
"I can see this as a challenge and a step to overcome, or throw my toys out of the pram and sulk around the place," the Welsh defender told reporters. "But there's no point in doing any of that. I'm going to get my head down, work as hard as I can and the chances will come.
"I just have to be patient, and when they do come then take them like I know I can do."
Davies is likely to start when Spurs meet Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League on Thursday.
