Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that centre-back Michael Dawson has undergone surgery on his right Achilles tendon.
The England international has been suffering with the injury since August and has not featured for Spurs since their 5-1 loss at home to Manchester City.
The club's medical staff are said to be pleased with how the operation has gone, although no date has been given as to when the 27-year-old will return to training.
He will be reassessed in early December by a surgeon.
