Tottenham Hotspur's Eric Dier has praised his teammate Dele Alli after the midfielder scored his first senior England goal in last night's friendly against France.
The 19-year-old, who joined Spurs from MK Dons in the summer, earned his fourth international cap and first start last night when England and France joined together in solidarity following last week's deadly terrorist attacks in Paris.
Alli's 25-yard goal was the first in the Three Lions' 2-0 victory, which included a strike from captain Wayne Rooney.
After the match, Dier spoke to Tottenham's official website about Alli's rise. He said: "He's doing so well. He's on a great wave at the moment and can't do anything wrong. Hopefully he'll keep doing it and I'm delighted for him because he's a great lad, his feet are on the ground and he deserves everything he gets."
Dier also made his first senior start for the Three Lions on Tuesday night.
