Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has urged the Football Association to appoint Harry Redknapp as England manager.
The Tottenham Hotspur boss is the overwhelming favourite to take the job following Fabio Capello's resignation last month.
"If I was the geezer in the suit upstairs making the decision, I would go and get Harry, without a doubt," Ferdinand, who was managed by Redknapp at West Ham United, told The Sun.
"When you play for him, he makes you feel like a million dollars."
FA general secretary Alex Horne revealed on Friday that the governing body would appoint a new coach towards the end of the season.
