Harry Kane has described Michael Dawson as "different class" following his return to action with Tottenham Hotspur.
The club's captain overcame a hamstring problem to face Stoke City last weekend, which resulted in a 1-0 win for Spurs.
The striker told the team's website: "Michael is a top professional and he showed that on Saturday. He was different class at the back and of course he played his part as we got the clean sheet, which was great.
"It was a tough game, it always is when you're away to Stoke, and they've got some good scalps on their ground this season. But sometimes you've got to dig in and we did that on Saturday. We're very pleased to get the result."
Spurs face West Ham United on Saturday.
