Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer has outlined his desire to improve as quickly as possible ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old played in the second half of Spurs' 2-1 defeat to the MLS All-Stars during the week in their first match of pre-season.
Wimmer believes that his side were unfortunate to lose, and is confident that they can use their final pre-season game ahead of the Premier League campaign against Real Madrid to fine tune their problems.
"I think we had enough chances to win the game on Wednesday and I think we were a bit unlucky that we lost, but we are going in the right direction," Wimmer told the club's official website.
"We always try to improve and now we are very focused and looking forward to Munich and the season starting next week."
Spurs open the Premier League season against Manchester United next Saturday.
