Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that he is pleased to have extra recovery time for his players ahead of Sunday's clash against Manchester United at White Hart Lane.
The North London outfit, who are seven points behind Premier League leaders Leicester City, have a week to prepare as they are no longer involved in the Europa League.
Spurs dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Saturday, and Pochettino is determined to get all three against United this weekend.
"In football, you always need to be ready for the next game," Pochettino told the club's official website. "Now we have a few days to recover and try to prepare for United.
"It's important because we only really had one day to prepare for Liverpool. International weeks can be difficult, 90 per cent of the players are away but now we have six games left in six weeks and time to prepare the players.
"We haven't had many clear weeks this season. We've had a lot of midweek games but it will be nice to have a bit of recovery time and then work hard to try to get the three points against United on Sunday."
Tottenham have six league games left in their season.
