Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that Harry Kane could start in the club's next Premier League game after he scored a 90th-minute winner at Villa Park this afternoon.
It looked as if Spurs would fall to 10-man Aston Villa until a late fightback saw them claim all three points.
Nacer Chadli equalised in the 84th minute before second-half substitute Kane scored a deflected free kick to win it for the North London side.
It was the 21-year-old's ninth goal of the season, but the first to come in the league after a string of impressive displays in the Capital One Cup and Europa League.
When asked about Kane's display, Pochettino told Sky Sports News: "He is an important player. We have a lot of very good players.
"It is true the performance like in the last game and today, he maybe deserves to play in the Premier League more. It was a great goal, and a happy goal for him and the team."
Spurs' victory was the first time that a Premier League team managed by Pochettino has come from behind to pick up all three points.
They next travel to Greece on Thursday to play Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League before Stoke City visit White Hart Lane in the league next Sunday.
