Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he needs to handle striker Harry Kane 'carefully'.
The 21-year-old has made a big impact at White Hart Lane during his breakthrough season, scoring 11 goals in 20 games.
While he insists that the youngster can go on to become a "great player", Pochettino believes that Kane must be allowed to develop properly.
"Harry has the potential to be a great player in England. He works hard and scores goals and these are the principle values that he has," the Argentine is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"But he is still young and you need to be careful with younger players. You have to manage, and be careful how you manage, this type of player. He needs to develop his game and improve every day and he needs to have the right mentality because this is new for him."
Tottenham return to action on Wednesday night when they host Newcastle United in the League Cup quarter-finals.
