Leicester City boss Claude Puel: 'We should have beaten Tottenham Hotspur'

Leicester City boss Claude Puel insists that his side deserved more from their 5-4 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the season.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has insisted that his side should have beaten Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium after scoring four goals there.

The Foxes ended up going down 5-4 in the final-day showdown thanks to Harry Kane's late winner, but the Frenchman believes that his team deserved more.

"We played a good game with good intensity. We should have won this game," Puel told Sky Sports News. "It is crazy to lose this game when we scored four goals away. We had to do much better after our third goal. It is a shame we saw a good game, a crazy game."

The Leicester manager's future at the club has come under scrutiny of late, but he remained tight-lipped when asked to comment on it.

"I make no comments about speculation around me. I try to keep my concentration on the team," he added.

The Foxes' final-day defeat sees them finish in ninth place in the Premier League.
