Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to an injury picked up against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
Sandro was forced to undergo surgery on his right knee after injuring both his anterior cruciate ligament and his lateral meniscus in the 0-0 draw.
The club confirmed that the surgery had been successful, but that Sandro would miss the remainder of the season.
"Following consultation with the knee surgeon, the club can report that Sandro is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the season after surgery on his right knee earlier this week," read a club statement.
"The Brazil international was forced off during Saturday's game against Queens Park Rangers after injuring both his Anterior Cruciate Ligament and Lateral Meniscus."
Spurs, who currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, will host Manchester United in their next match on Sunday.
