Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood has slammed former manager Glenn Hoddle for criticising the team's body language ahead of their defeat to Liverpool last weekend.
The 56-year-old, who was a pundit for Sky Sports during Spurs' 4-0 defeat on Sunday, stated that the players looked defeated before they stepped out onto the pitch at Anfield.
"It's been a long time since Glenn Hoddle has managed a team and the game has moved on significantly," Sherwood said in Friday's press conference. "I've been a pundit myself and it's easy to be critical when you've got nothing else to talk about."
Tottenham are currently sixth in the Premier League table, eight points adrift of a Champions League spot.
