Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson believes that he could have thrived under Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur had he been given the opportunity.
The 25-year-old was sold by Spurs in an exchange deal that saw him move to the Swans, while Ben Davies and Michel Vorm switched to White Hart Lane.
However, Sigurdsson feels that he could have had success under the Argentine, and is also adamant that Pochettino must be given ample time to implement his new system at the club, despite their struggles this season.
Sigurdsson told The Times: "That's what we do here."
When asked about his thoughts on the Argentine's style of football, he added: "Yes. Pochettino is trying to bring the style he had at Southampton and of course it's going to take time.
"I'm pretty sure the chairman is going to give him a couple of seasons to get it right."
Swansea play Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.
