Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann as their ideal replacement for Jose Mourinho.
With Spurs only regarded as outsiders to earn a top-four spot in the Premier League table, speculation persists regarding the Portuguese's long-term future at the club.
While chairman Daniel Levy is allegedly against a change in the dugout before the end of the season, alternatives to Mourinho may be considered in the summer.
According to The Telegraph, Spurs will likely make an approach for Nagelsmann if they move in a different direction ahead of the next campaign.
The 33-year-old is eventually expected to move to a bigger club, having established Leipzig as the main contenders to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
However, Nagelsmann is not open to a switch to another club in the coming months, effectively leaving Spurs to remain patient in their pursuit of the German.
