Jan Vertonghen has claimed that Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane are having the same influence Gareth Bale had during his time at Tottenham Hotspur.
Bale netted 26 goals in the 2012-13 season before securing a world-record move to Real Madrid, and Spurs initially struggled to fill the void left by the Welshman's switch to the Spanish capital.
However, 31 goals between Eriksen and Kane this season has ensured that Spurs remain in contention for a Champions League spot and are still fighting for success in the League Cup and Europa League.
"Are we more complete? Yes, probably," the Belgian told the Evening Standard. "We had a very good side in my first season as well, but Gareth was just outstanding, even a class higher than what we have now.
"But we've got a couple of guys who can achieve the same performances as he did and they're on their way. Harry and Christian are just unbelievable players.
"We're more complete, we still have a long way to go but what we are doing now is unbelievable. At the beginning of the season we had some problems creating chances but now they're coming from everywhere, which is what we want."
Spurs return to action against North London rivals Arsenal on Saturday.
