Jan Vertonghen has lauded his Tottenham Hotspur teammates for their character after coming from behind to beat Everton 2-1 on Sunday.
Kevin Mirallas opened the scoring for the Toffees as fears over a third successive home loss grew at White Hart Lane yesterday.
However, goals before the break from Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado helped Spurs turn the game on its head and move into seventh in the Premier League table.
"I think we can do better in possession, but I think we showed character," Vertonghen told reporters.
"We had a very good defensive line, the midfield and strikers as well were very good. It was a team performance today."
Mauricio Pochettino's side face league leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
