Andre Villas-Boas has said that there were "a lot of positives" from Tottenham Hotspur's 6-0 win over South China in the Asia Trophy earlier today.
A Jermain Defoe hat-trick helped Spurs clinch third place in the tournament at the Hong Kong Stadium this morning.
The manager told Sky Sports News: "It was very good. We continue our hard work after the Sunderland defeat and didn't stop for a rest.
"We really trained hard in double sessions and today we did really well. Not only with the football that we played but physically we did well on a difficult pitch so there were a lot of positives.
"In terms of football, we did well here in difficult conditions. We had some good moments and just need to look to improve as we have a difficult game against Monaco coming up."
Sunderland are facing Manchester City in the final.
