Tottenham Hotspur boosted their hopes of European qualification on Sunday thanks to a dramatic 2-1 win away to Swansea City in the Premier League.

The visitors took the lead with just three minutes played when Harry Kane headed in from a corner, but Swansea levelled things up at the start of the second half thanks to Wilfried Bony's instinctive finish.

However, Spurs snatched the points with just a couple of minutes remaining as Christian Eriksen found the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

SWANSEA

Goal

Gerhard Tremmel: Flapped on a couple of occasions, but looked solid overall. Could do nothing about Tottenham's two goals. (6/10)

Defence

Angel Rangel: Did a good job of keeping the visitors at bay down the left and also linked well with his teammates when going forward. (7/10)

Kyle Bartley: Appeared comfortable in central defence for much of the match, though some indiscipline creeped into his game in the second half. (6/10)

Ashley Williams: Swansea's skipper led by example at the back, barely putting a foot wrong when he was called into action. (7/10)

Neil Taylor: Demonstrated some silky touches down the left flank while also showing little fear in the tackle. (7/10)

Midfield

Leon Britton: Put in a fiery performance in midfield thanks to some snappy tackling and swift closing down of the opposition. Was brought off with 25 minutes remaining. (7/10)

Ki Sung-yueng: Failed to have his usual impact on the game during what was a subdued afternoon for the South Korean. (5/10)

Gylfi Sigurdsson: Pulled a lot of strings from midfield against his former club. Could have got on the scoresheet himself were it not for some disappointing finishing. (7/10)

Wayne Routledge: Was lively throughout, with his pace and movement giving the Spurs defence plenty to think about. (7/10)

Jefferson Montero: A dynamic force out on the wing, Montero's tireless running and enthusiasm stood out for the home side. (8/10)

Attack

Wilfried Bony: The Ivorian was a constant threat up front and could have bagged himself a hat-trick. Took his equaliser well at the start of the second half, finishing with precision from close range. (7/10)

Substitutes

Jonjo Shelvey: Bolstered Swansea's midfield when he came on with 25 minutes left. Was always looking to get on the ball and shake things up. (7/10)

Jazz Richards: Despite being on the field for only 20 minutes, the full-back made a disastrous error in the build-up to Tottenham's winner as his poor clearance was seized upon by the away side. (5/10)

Bafetimbi Gomis: Was brought on for the final five minutes to add a physicality to the hosts, but he struggled to make himself known. (5/10)

TOTTENHAM

Goal

Hugo Lloris: Came to Tottenham's rescue on numerous occasions with some fine saves, mostly to deny Bony. (7/10)

Defence

Kyle Walker: Still some way off match fitness, but the full-back gave a good account of himself against a slippery Swansea attack. (7/10)

Jan Vertonghen: Found life difficult at times in the centre of defence as the fluidity of the Swansea frontline seemed relentless. (6/10)

Federico Fazio: A damning indictment of Spurs' transfer policy, the Argentine once again appeared to be well out of his depth. One mistake in particular nearly cost his side a goal. (5/10)

Ban Davies: The youngster kept his head down and put in a tidy performance against his former club, though there were times when he needed help. (6/10)

Midfield

Ryan Mason: Another competent showing from the midfielder, who anchored the visitors impressively and looked up for the fight. (7/10)

Nabil Bentaleb: Worked well with Mason in the centre of midfield, with the pair being kept busy by their Swansea counterparts. (7/10)

Erik Lamela: Drifted in and out of the game far too often and failed to offer any kind of creative spark, which is a bit of a running theme now. (5/10)

Christian Eriksen: Was underwhelming in the first half before coming to life after the break. Took his goal really well to win the game late on. (7/10)

Attack

Harry Kane: Showed good ability to nod Spurs in front at the start of the game before putting in a typically-committed shift for his team. (8/10)

Roberto Soldado: The Spaniard had little service to work with in the opening 45 minutes as Tottenham struggled. Little changed for him at the start of the second half before he was replaced. (5/10)

Substitutes

Mousa Dembele: Worked hard when he came off the bench for the final 35 minutes, hustling about in midfield and further up the pitch. (7/10)

Benjamin Stambouli: Kicked a couple of lumps out of the opposition when he was introduced on 70 minutes. Picked up a yellow card for his troubles. (6/10)

Nacer Chadli: A forgettable cameo appearance for the Belgian, who did little of note during the seven or so minutes that he was on the pitch. (6/10)
