Tottenham Hotspur put four past Manchester City to win 4-1 at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur score four at White Hart Lane to beat Manchester City 4-1 in the Premier League's lunchtime kickoff.

Manchester City went ahead midway through the first half, after Kevin De Bruyne found himself on the end of a quick counter-attack to slot the ball past Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for his third goal in three games.

Spurs had Lloris to thank moments later as City continued to apply pressure but Raheem Sterling's low drive was stopped in the bottom corner by the French international.

Harry Kane had two long-distance opportunities to break his goal duck but the first drifted wide before the second was stopped comfortbaly by Willy Caballero.

Tottenham would pull level just before half time, with Son Heung-Min being denied from close-range by Caballero before a poor clearance fell to Eric Dier, who fired home from distance.

Spurs then took the lead after the break through Toby Alderweireld, who nodded on Christian Eriksen's free-kick past Caballero, who had drifted off his goal line.

Kane would end his scoring drought minutes later to make it three after another Eriksen free kick hit the post before landing at the feet of the England striker, who slotted the ball into an empty goal.

Substitute Jesus Navas tested Lloris minutes after coming on but his powerful strike was tipped over the top before Sterling could not find a way to goal from the resulting corner.

Son thought he had given Spurs a fourth goal after tapping in Nacer Chadli's header but the South Korean was ruled offside.

Erik Lamela would eventually make it four after substitute Clinton N'Jie led a two-on-two break before playing in the Argentine to calmly round Caballero to score.
