Former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is reportedly ready to accept a contract to become Tottenham Hotspur's new manager until June 2024.
The 48-year-old, who left Roma at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, has recently emerged as the new favourite to become Jose Mourinho's replacement at Spurs.
The Portuguese is said to have held talks with the North London club earlier this week over the possibility of becoming the new head coach at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fonseca is now prepared to accept terms on a deal until June 2024, or June 2023 with the option of an additional 12 months.
Romano claims that the Tottenham board must now decide whether to appoint the former centre-back as their new head coach.
Fonseca has also been in charge of Porto, Braga and Shakhtar Donetsk during his managerial career, while he left Roma having won 53, drawn 22 and lost 27 of his 102 matches at the helm. body check tags ::
