Toby Alderweireld is reportedly considering remaining at Tottenham Hotspur beyond this season following the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
The Belgian, who was available to buy for £25m last summer due a clause in his contract, will leave for free at the end of this season as things currently stand.
Following nearly five years at Spurs, Alderweireld refused to pen a new contract last term due to feeling like he needed a new challenge.
However, according to The Telegraph, the arrival of Mourinho on Wednesday has reinvigorated the defender, who will now consider making a U-turn over his future.
Reports have claimed that Mourinho will speak personally with Alderweireld, whom he views as part of his plans at the North London club.
The 56-year-old, who became Spurs boss on Wednesday, was keen on signing the 30-year-old during his time as Manchester United manager.
