Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Clive Allen has urged the club not to sell Gareth Bale at the end of the season.
The Welsh winger has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months following a string of match-winning performances for Spurs.
"I'm sure they are going to make every effort to hold on to him because you can't replace someone like that," Allen told talkSPORT.
"I hope Tottenham make every effort to keep him for two of three more years if they can."
Bale has scored 22 goals in all competitions this season, including 11 in his last nine matches.
