Real Betis president Angel Haro has revealed that he expects Tottenham Hotspur to push through a permanent deal for Giovani Lo Celso.
Due to a hip injury, the midfielder has been restricted to three starts and eight substitute appearances since moving to Spurs on a temporary basis.
However, despite the Argentina international's lack of game time, Haro feels that the North London outfit will look to take advantage of their option to sign the playmaker on a full-time basis.
According to reports in Spain, Haro told a shareholders meeting that Spurs "will exercise it because if they don't they will be charged more in June".
Haro added: "They may also have to exercise the mandatory [clause]. We understand that they will exercise it, but if not, we will be delighted with the player returning."
Spurs are said to be able to sign Lo Celso for €32m (£27.2m) at the beginning of 2020.
