Danny Rose's hopes of leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer have been dealt a blow as Genoa have reportedly pulled the plug on a deal.
The 30-year-old has been given permission to find a new club by Jose Mourinho after being sent out on loan to Newcastle United for the second half of 2019-20.
Genoa showed an interest in Rose, but Football Insider claims that the Italian side have now gone cold on a deal.
Tottenham now have just two weeks to find a bidder for the 29-cap England international, who is into the final year of his contract and is valued in the region of £5m.
Newcastle were also linked with Rose earlier in the window, but are believed to be against the idea of signing the left-back permanently.
