Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Dembele has said that Jermain Defoe will be missed when he leaves the club next month.
The 31-year-old agreed a switch to MLS outfit Toronto FC earlier in the week, before marking one of his final appearances at White Hart Lane with a goal in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
"For us he's very important. I think everyone knows his quality and of course we will miss him, for sure," Dembele told Sky Sports News. "It was nice for him to score, though. We are happy for him."
The Belgian went on to say that he expects the Lilywhites to enjoy a strong finish to the campaign under manager Tim Sherwood this season.
