According to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenburg, seven top-flight English clubs are keeping tabs on the defender's future, with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur among them.
Plettenburg adds that it may take a fee of €15m (£12.5m) to prise Spence away from Middlesbrough, and the player wants a final decision on his future to be made before the end of May.
Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest in Spence, who has two goals to his name from 70 appearances for parent club Middlesbrough. body check tags ::
