Everton have reportedly made contact with Tottenham Hotspur to discuss a possible January move for English midfielder Harry Winks.

The 25-year-old has only played 60 minutes of Premier League football this season and is believed to be keen to secure a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the start of 2022.

According to CaughtOffside, Everton have made an enquiry for the midfielder, with the Toffees identifying him as a potential alternative to Manchester United's Donny van de Beek.

The report claims that Winks is only likely to leave Spurs on loan in January, but Rafael Benitez's side would still be interested in a deal until the end of the season.

The England international, who still has three years left to run on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, has not featured in any of his side's last three league encounters.

Winks has scored four times and registered five assists in 178 appearances for Spurs since making his first-team debut in 2014. body check tags ::
