Premier League duo Everton and Crystal Palace have shown an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks this summer, according to a report.
The 26-year-old was rarely used by both Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte for Spurs during the 2021-22 campaign, despite a decent run in the side over the Christmas and New Year period.
The England international would go on to make just 15 starts across all competitions for the North-London club, with the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp often preferred in the centre of the pitch.
Conte would then go on to bring in Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus in the January transfer window, further pushing Winks down the pecking order at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Fast forward to this summer, and the arrival of Yves Bissouma from Brighton & Hove Albion, confirmed on Friday, is expected to push Winks towards the exit door.
Both Everton and Palace are interested in taking Winks off their hands during the current transfer window, according to the Daily Mail, who still has two years left to run on his contract in North London.
Frank Lampard has been linked with a host of central midfielders at Goodison Park this summer, as the Chelsea legend looks to bring in reinforcements that can help Everton to control possession during the 2022-23 campaign.
Meanwhile, Patrick Vieira is hoping to build on a successful first season at Selhurst Park, with the Frenchman on the lookout for potential replacements for Conor Gallagher, who has returned to parent club Chelsea following an excellent loan spell with the Eagles last season. body check tags ::
