Fiorentina are reportedly weighing up January moves for Younes Kaboul and John Heitinga.

Viola boss Vincenzo Montella is said to have told the club's sporting director Daniele Prade to acquire a new centre-back during next month's transfer window as the team challenges for a top-three spot in Serie A.

According to La Nazione, the Italian side have identified the Premier League duo as their main targets and both could be available as they enter the final six months of their contracts.

Kaboul has made only two appearances in the last 19 months after being troubled by knee and thigh injuries, while the Dutch defender has played second fiddle to Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin at Everton.

Toffees manager Roberto Martinez has hinted that the 30-year-old may be allowed to leave, although Roma are thought to be leading the chase for his signature.
