Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes has completed his medical with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of an 18-month loan move, according to a report.
The Portugal international is said to have arrived in London on Monday to finalise his switch to the Premier League side, who are managed by compatriot Jose Mourinho.
Sky Sports News reports that an official announcement will be made at some point in the next 24 hours, with Spurs having the option of making the deal permanent for £56m at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
Fernandes also reportedly had the chance to join West Ham United on an identical deal, but he instead opted for London rivals Tottenham.
Benfica academy product Fernandes has made 12 appearances at club level this term.
