Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has revealed that he turned down a move to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window.
The German forward said that he intends to honour his contract at the Stadio Olimpico, which runs until 2014.
"Tottenham came looking for me, but I signed for Lazio until 2014 and I intend to respect that contract," The Metro quotes Klose as saying.
Tottenham face Lazio next Thursday when the Italian side pay a visit to White Hart Lane in the Europa League.
Klose, 34, is Germany's second-highest scorer of all time with 68 international goals, four behind Gerd Muller.
