Real Madrid have made a world record £85m bid for Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale, according to a report.
Madrid made the offer for the winger last week, but it does not include any player moving to White Hart Lane in exchange, according to Sky Sports News.
However, Tottenham's stance has not changed and they are still refusing to listen to any offer for last season's PFA Player of the Year.
The Welsh winger is becoming increasingly frustrated with Spurs, as the club are not allowing him to speak to the Spanish side despite his wish to join them.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is currently in Miami, but with Spurs due to resume training on Wednesday following the Barclays Asia Trophy, Bale will meet with club officials in the coming days.
If the transfer does go through, then it would surpass the current world record fee of £80m paid by Madrid to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo back in 2009.
