Manchester City are reportedly not looking to sell Aymeric Laporte during this summer's transfer window.

The 27-year-old, who is representing Spain at Euro 2020, only made 27 appearances for the Citizens during the 2020-21 campaign, having fallen behind John Stones and Ruben Dias in the pecking order.

Laporte only featured on 16 occasions in the Premier League last term, and there has recently been speculation surrounding the centre-back's future at the Etihad Stadium.

Barcelona are said to be admirers of the former Athletic Bilbao youngster, but according to AS, the Premier League champions want to keep hold of him in the current market.

The report claims that Man City want to retain both Laporte and Nathan Ake to support Stones and Dias, with Eric Garcia already leaving the club to return to Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's side are thought to be preparing a £100m offer for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane but could ultimately be frustrated in their pursuit of the England captain. body check tags ::
