Manchester City will join Tottenham Hotspur in making an official approach for talented Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon, according to a report.
The Lilywhites are said to be willing to go as high as £35m for the 17-year-old, who took his goals tally for the season to 14 with what proved to be the winner against Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs hope that their offer will be enough to tempt Fulham to the negotiating table, but The Sun claims that City are prepared to trump their domestic rivals by entering the bidding at £40m.
Sessegnon, regularly compared to Gareth Bale due to both players' versatility down the left, has also had his name linked with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester United in the past.
The report does also indicate that Fulham have no serious financial worries, though, and could yet play hardball if and when an approach is made.
