Newcastle United have reportedly agreed a fee of £12m with Tottenham Hotspur for winger Andros Townsend.
The 24-year-old has made just two starts for the London side since stepping up to the senior team in 2009 and has had loan spells with nine different clubs.
According to Sky Sports News, the Magpies are now close to finalising the deal after the fee was settled at £12m. Spurs were believed to be asking for £14m, while Newcastle had previously refused to go above the £10.5m mark.
Southampton were also in the running for Townsend's signature.
