Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has warned fans that they may have to wait until the end of the window for a new striker to arrive.
The North London side have sold Roberto Soldado in this window, while Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to follow him, leaving Harry Kane as the club's only recognised striker.
The club have been linked with a move for Saido Berahino, but Pochettino has hinted that a deal for any forward may take some time.
He told reporters: "When will the club sign a striker? Maybe next week, or the next - we need one or two players more. You start the season and the transfer window is still going on, the business happens in the middle.
"Maybe it is something to fix in the future but these are the rules for the Premier League. We are all on the same page."
Spurs have collected just one point from two games this season.
