Tony Pulis: 'Tottenham Hotspur will not bid for Saido Berahino again'

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis does not believes that Tottenham Hotspur wil return with a new bid for striker Saido Berahino in the near future.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur will never try to sign striker Saido Berahino again.

Spurs made several offers for the 22-year-old during the transfer window, all of which were rebuffed by the Baggies. This caused the striker to hit out at chairman Jeremy Peace, saying that he would not play for the club again.

However, Berahino and West Brom have managed to patch up their differences in the international break and he could feature in their match against Southampton.

Pulis believes that, now the saga is behind both clubs, Spurs are unlikely to return with another bid for the forward.

He told reporters: "Personally I don't think Tottenham will ever come back. I don't think that will happen. There are other clubs out there who if they're interested, they're interested, but I'm sure Saido will deal with it in a different way to how he did this time.

"I just think most probably the two clubs have tried to do a deal and it's not worked and not happened. I don't see Daniel [Levy] coming back to try to sign Saido again. I might be wrong.

"It is not anything. It's just my feeling. I just don't see Daniel coming back."

Berahino has made two appearances for the Baggies this season, but has missed their last two matches.
